Let's talk ice for a second. It keeps our lemonade cool, can help decrease swelling from those little (or big!) accidents we sometimes find our way into, and it's absolutely necessary for cold drinks at a park BBQ or similar function. But what is craft ice, and what's the big deal?

What is Craft Ice?

Craft ice is ice that is made with intentionality and care, often within the context of making cocktails. Specifically, it is larger than what we typically find in our drinks at restaurants or coming from a fridge door. This larger surface area is able to keep drinks cool without letting off as much melted water, ensuring that your beverages keep tasting as good as they should for a long time without getting watered down.

Normally, a special mold has to be used to create craft ice, but these can be cumbersome and leaky, and sometimes fail to deliver. With LG's Craft Ice™ system, however, two-inch spheres of craft ice are produced automatically, right in your freezer! That way, your craft ice will be ready whenever you are, should the need arise. The Craft Ice™ system produces 3 ice balls a day, or 6 with Craft Ice+ mode enabled, and will continue to fill the included bin until it has reached its 25-piece capacity
